If your DC had low grade fever with teething...
How long did he/she run fever before actual tooth? DD had a dr's appt 2 weeks ago tomorrow and didn't end up getting shots because she had low grade fever. She was acting fine. She ran it on and off the next two days. The highest was 100.3, but it was mostly 99 something. Again, she wasn't fussy or lethargic. She has been drooling up a storm angled gnawing on her hands, so doc said it can be teething. Then yesterday and this afternoon, I noticed she felt a little warm. Both times, it was low grade. I took it a few hours later and it was normal. Does this sound like a teething symptom? It's so weird to me that it comes and goes. And there is no tooth yet. She did have vaccines on monday, so it can be related to that this week, but not 2 weeks ago. Dr checked her at both appts and found no signs of infection. I'm haven't been treating it because it's so low and she doesn't seem bothered by it.

DS always runs a low grade fever when cutting a tooth. Usually lasts 2-3 weeks and then a tooth pops out. Some days it is normal and others it hovers around 100-100.8. He had been in the pedi for it 3 times.

Thanks, so maybe a tooth is coming. She's young--3.5 months--but DH and I both had our first teeth at 4 months.

Re: If your DC had low grade fever with teething...
DS started to teethe at 8 weeks. But it took until he was 6 months old until his tooth came in. First trip to the pedi for a low grade fever was right before the tooth came in. My brother had 4 teeth at 3 months old. Some baby's get them early...It should be ok to give some tylenol if she gets really uncomfortable. Call your pedi and see what they say..It takes the edge off. We used Hylands teething gel on DS. It seemed to help a bit...
