If your first FET failed, but you were successful with another FET...

Did your protocol change the second time around? Was the quality of your embryos dramatically different from the first one (two) you put in during your failed cycle? And how many FET's did it take you to get a BFP?

Our first pregnancy was from our second FET.

We changed NOTHING from 1st to second FET.

We used 2 embryos fresh (the best ones) and that cycle failed. Did an FET with 3 embryos (next best quality) and that also failed. Our next FET was with 3 more embryos and they were almost the worst qualitywise... that was our successful cycle!

Fresh cycle - transferred 2 perfect quality. Twin miscarriage at 11 weeks. No genetic issues.

FET 1 - 1 absolutely perfect embryo, bfn

FET 2 - 2 far from perfect embryos, bfp with a singleton

The perfect embryo was 5AA & the 2 sub- par ones were 4bc. I know different clinics use different rating systems but just to give you an idea.

No change in protocol at all between the 2 fet's.
If it were me, I would use up all your frozen embryos before moving on to a fresh cycle. It Is a much easier/quicker process & you won't have the moral dilemma of what to do with leftover embryos.
Good luck!

I had one failed FET and put back 2 great embryos and it was a negative.

my second FET same protocol but this time my lining was much better and I believe that is why it worked. I am now 31 weeks with twins.

My first FET after a fresh cycle was negative we transfered 3, 3 day embryos and my second FET we changed the protocol to 2, 5 day old embroyos and that was my successful cycle. However we did defrost my last 5 embroyos and by day 5 only two survived and I currently do not have any embroyos left. All embroyos transfered in both cycles were about the same quality. Good luck to you!
