Re: If your home turn on OPRAH!

Biologically this person is a woman so nothing new here - woman gives birth - the end. THe media is making a big hype out of it as this person has chosen to life her life as a man, has taken testosterone etc etc and to all intense purposes considers herself a man BUT biologically she is a woman so no major news story here as far as I am concerned. I wish them both well. To be honest I dont know why they went public with this - that poor child is going to have to deal with the fallout as it grows up.
I have to say i agree. I didn't see him/her on oprah but i saw a episode on good morning america last week. I think the public is being silly, this isn't a MAN having a baby by anymeans. And i think that people putting it on the TV makes him/her a freakshow. I feel bad for the child

The clitoris only grows very little. I have a friend who is transgender and the newly sized clitoris is nothing in comparison to a penis. I am sorry to say that those who have sons, the baby's penis is larger!

That is basically what they said. The testastarone (sp) basically will enlarge the clitoris causing it to enlarge and form the shape of a much smaller penis.

interesting, perplexing, cool, creepy and confusing all at once.
I give them credit, they seem very grounded. I hope all goes well for them, this can't be easy.
I wonder how the baby will be when she grows up, I hope they keep her away from the media.
I agree with everything except the cool part. I don't think this is cool, but it is interesting, perplexing, creepy and confusing to me, as well as thought provoking.

Wow. I could never imagine putting my DD through what he/she is about to expose their child to. The world can be a cruel place.

I agree. And IMO, I don't see this any different than two Lesbian women in a relationship who have children or 2 gay men who adopt. So long as that child has all the love and all the necessities that it needs, then let them be.
