Re: If your insurance paid for your breast pump...
I have GHI through my husband who is a NYC teacher and I called Edge Park (the medical supply store that is recommended on here), who initially said that GHI covers breast pumps. They said they would contact them to verify, but when they called me back, they said GHI does not cover them I even doublechecked with GHI and they said it is not considered durable medical equipment.

No, unfortunately I was very disappointed but I am assuming it has to do with whichever specific plan you have (mine is through the NYC Dept of Ed.) It doesn't hurt to try--it was an easy call and they called me back in 2 days.

It's worth a try! I don't think it matters that I'm not the primary--they told me it was bc of the plan we have. Let me know if you find out anything, and I will keep you posted as well!

Nope... they told me they only cover it or a part of it if there is a serious reason you cant nurse. The lady from GHI told me only when the baby is in the NICU will they consider it.
