If your newborn hated the car seat...come in
Any solutions? My DD used to scream bloody murder too for a few months I think...and DS feels the same way. Makes for a very stressful car ride. Any suggestions that might have worked for you? I'll try anything...! thanks!

We went through it.....for about the 1st 5 months  It was HORRIBLE. I HATED every car ride. It was the worst.
Magically, one day...she just stopped crying.
And then we switched to the Britax Marathon and she was MUCH more comfortable.
Have you tried other seats? Made sure nothing is pinching? Too tight? Do you have a mirror? Toys? Anything for DC to play with?

I feel your pain our DS HATED the car seat form day 1, still is not a fan.
I really don't have any advice just wanted to offer some
cause I know first hand how unbeleivably stressful even the shortest car ride can be.

Same exact for us, pretty much word for word. It was NOT fun  But it did just stop one day, strangely.
She does seem sooo happy & comfy in the Britax too. We switched her at 9 months.

I can't do toys yet, he's only 2 1/2 weeks. I don't want to leave the house. And my DD who is 20 months gets upset at him crying and yells for me to give him his nukie lol. I got shoulder straps...the head support...it looks and feels so comfy...I'd like to be strapped in there! Even stroller walks not buckled in...screams. I guess it's just each kid...since DD was the same way. But if anyone finds something that worked...I'd be willing to try!

Same thing. We BARELY took walks because DD would scream bloody murder. Needless to say I spent most of the summer indoors  It was not fun.
I used the bjorn for walks.
I know what you're going through and I am sorry. It's not easy and having and older one wanting to go go go probably doesn't help
Check to see if he's too hot. I know DD would sweat badly...of course the screaming didn't help. But she seemed to be very hot.

We have the little musical toys that hook onto the car seat handle. The music seems to help Landon but he is older (8 weeks).

when my DD fusses in the car, I give her the binky and put on classical music. She seems to like that. Maybe your baby doesnt like sitting in that position or the straps restrict him from moving and stretching. My DD screams when she tries to stretch her body upwards and cant b/c of the straps. We have to secure her in her infant carrier at the last moment when we are literally walking out of the door to the car.

DS like his carseat, but he doesn't like it when the car stops and thats when he gets a little crazy. He's 12 weeks.
