If your son is in a school play what would you get to celebrate him?
My son is in a school play tomorrow afternoon where he will be Benjamin Franklin. he had to do a lot of work, reading reasearching, writing, and memorizing his speech. I want him to know that we are incredibly proud of him. What would you get? Balloons, flowers? Cake? I really want to celebrate his achievement as he has had a lot of transitions with moving to a new district. He has come a long way and made enormous strides so I want to celebrate him. What would you get? A toy?

If your son is in a school play what would you get to celebrate him?
how about taking him out for a special lunch, just the two of you.
I know its not a "gift" toy but to me its more special

I know its not a "gift" toy but to me its more special
thanks we are going to get balloons, a cake, and some Legos and a card. I do like the idea of one on one time and try to give each of our kids that special time doing what they want to do so they have individual attention.

Congrats to your son. I think a small gift like the legos you mentioned and the balloons and the cake are appropriate. He will be basking in your excitement..have fun

After I wrote one on one I should have changed it to read a special lunch with the family.

Thanks everyone. We did go out for dinner and he chose his favorite local place. He did great. The entire class was adorable. They had every child pick an American hero. They had to read about them, reaserch their person. Write a report. From that report they wrote their speech. They had to memorize it. It was as if they were a "wax museum" and you could press a sticker on their hand and they would recite their speech. They also had to dress up.

We go out to dinner to his favorite place to eat and for frozen yogurt .
We have gotten him a video game he has wanted or we have gotten him a plush stuffed animal the ones by TY that look like a round ball but for a team...
We have also gone to sweet spot in plainview and they wrapped up a cute candy gift with chocolate personal notes and a star....
