If you're fat, can't party at this Frat!!!
A co-worker told me that when she was in college, she and her friend went to a frat house for a party. There was a guy at the door with a SCALE and if a girl weighed more than 140 lbs, she couldn't go in!!!!
CAN YOU IMAGINE? I would have been friggin mortified.......

Yes I can imagine. Sororities can be worse. Some have a history of hazing rituals that humiliate many people. My chapter didnt.

I'm always amused how superficial exclusionary behavior is deemed 'desirable'. People with weaker self-esteem often prop up their self-image by attempting to become one of the 'beautiful people'
same as the velvet rope outside studio54
I bet that scale actually increased the line to get inside.

 that's terrible!
one of the times I went away with clubs in college, we had several gay guys with us (F.I.T.) heck they were more fun than ANY frat boys
well we were invited to a big frat party one nite (we were about 12 girls from a "mostly female" college) and were always stalked by the frats
well one party, our adorable friend, this was back in the days of OMG Im drawing a blank, that drag queen runway model.
well he was totally drag that nite, and feeling all sexy and feminine
and he was our protector and leader, so he knocked on the door of the frat party  and strutted his stuff and spoke out and told them who was here for the party and they told us...
"uhmm, sorry, too many people, we'r full" or something like that..
well we laughed the whole way back as he cursed and snapped his fingers, and I think we had a much better time than if we WERE let in to the party.
NO WAY were we leaving him behind to party with some stuck up drunk pigs who just wanted one thing.

My DH was in a frat in school, and I was in a sorority..I've NEVER seen something like that happen. They were all good guys and decent.
With that being said I don't doubt it happens. Some frats are just azzes...
Had that rule been in place while i was in college, i DEFINITELY wouldn't have been allowed to party. 
I think that would have been my worst nightmare come true!
