If you've been pregnant with a boy and a girl
Just curious, for those who have been preggo with a boy and a girl..did u you have different pregnancies, or did they feel similar?
This will be my last gender post since i'm finally finding out the sex later this week. I can't take the anticipation anymore!

Re: If you've been pregnant with a boy and a girl
I have my GIRL and am now pregnant with a BOY.....I think these pregnancies are SO DIFFERENT from each other.
With DD I was sick for the first 14 weeks, with this one I was sick for the first 16 weeks.....With DD I worked up until the day before I gave birth, with this one I have 21 days left and I can barely make a whole day of work without being in horrible pain. I am SO uncomfortable at this point and was never like this with my first. With my 1st I gained so much weight and with this one I have not...
FUN FUN, but all worth it in the end
Good Luck with finding out what you are having

Re: If you've been pregnant with a boy and a girl
They were different, but also very similar. Barely any MS with either, although with DS if I didn't eat in the morning I got nauseous. Craved something different every week or 2 with DD, where as with DS I craved the same 2 things the whole pregnancy (red grapes and skittles). I know there were other things but I can't remember at the moment.

Re: If you've been pregnant with a boy and a girl
I had a boy first and now am pregnant with a girl (although I won't TRULY believe it until I get confirmation again ).
But yes, these pregnancies have been very different in quite a few ways.
First is emotionally. With my son, I felt like myself all the time. I didn't "get" why people complained of the pregnant woman mood swings or whatever; I just didn't have them. I was very myself emotionally. Now? Um no. I am super emotional about everything, I would have mood swings out of no where, etc. Definitely FEEL different. Now at 22 weeks I feel more myself again though.
My belly is different. With DS it came out of the middle of my stomach area. I was already borderline plus size so with clothes on it was hard to tell, but I could see it without clothes very easily. This time, my belly starts from my sides, even my back, lol! It's more round!
With DS, I felt like I couldn't breath for months! Until maybe 26 or so weeks. With this baby, I haven't felt like that at all.
With DS I craved red meat. Incredible since I barely ate it before I was pg with him! I just wanted meat meat meat. With this baby, no cravings. Although I find myself being satisfied with something like a muffin or danish for dinner most times which is unusual.
With this pregnancy, I've been craving OJ! Weird, but I actually heard recently that craving citrus is a sign of a baby girl Weird, but in my case appears to be true, so that's why I mention it.
I had heartburn with both, but with this pregnancy it's been all in the back of my throat where I feel like it's just BURNING. With DS it was more in my chest.
With DS I broke out worse than a pubecent (sp?) teenager! It was HORRIBLE. Makeup couldn't hide it. Soooo bad. With this pregnancy, my skin has been pretty much same as when I'm not pregnant. I get a few breakouts here and there, but not the constant all face acne I had with DS.
With DS I was swollen kind of early. From about 14 weeks my fingers were swollen, they looked like sausages and it only got worse as the weeks went along. I couldn't close my hand, even holding a pen was painful from the swelling. This time? Nothing yet.
Sorry for the long post, just pointing out as much as I could remember. I will say, I really had a feeling this baby is a girl because of all of this, BUT I know other friends that have had totally different pregnancies and had the same sex baby, so I was never convinced. Like I said, I'm still not! I want them to confirm and reconfirm before I will truly believe it!

Re: If you've been pregnant with a boy and a girl
Everything is pretty much the same with the only exception that I feel like I didn't gain weight in my face-- whereas last time (with a girl), I felt my face did look a little heavier, and I also haven't broken out at all this pregnancy, unless I was stressed otherwise.
Other than that-- carrying same, gained same amount of weight in same way, feel the same, etc.

Re: If you've been pregnant with a boy and a girl
I have a and am currently 24 weeks with a . So far they are very similar. I was queasy in the first trimester with both. However, I did not throw up with and did about a dozen times from weeks 8-12 with this pregnancy. Other than that, I'm a little more tired but was tired last time as well and this time I'm chasing a 3 yr old and have a full time job outside the home.

Re: If you've been pregnant with a boy and a girl
First pregnancy I had a boy and this time around I'm pregnant with a girl. For the most part, I've had very similar pregnancies (especially in the beginning). I'm noticing more differences now that I am in my third trimester, mostly being that I am a lot more uncomfortable this time, getting terrible heartburn at night (which I never got the 1st time), and having bad Braxton Hicks contractions.
Other than that, the only other difference is that with DS, I had a crazy food aversion to red meat. I couldn't even walk by the meat section of the supermarket without gagging uncontrollably. I also craved salty foods. This time I have no aversions at all and have been craving sweets.

Re: If you've been pregnant with a boy and a girl
They have been pretty similar.
I think my morning sickness lasted longer with DS (It never really went away). I think it may have been more severe with this pregnancy. My skin was a bit worse with DS. I crave more sweets with DD. My varocosities and hernias are worse with this pregnancy but that usually happens with successive pregnancies.
I am carrying pretty much the same.

Re: If you've been pregnant with a boy and a girl
I've been pregnant with 2 girls and a boy. Each have been different in small ways. I carried the same in all though.
MS got progressively worse with each pregnancy.
Had crazy charlie horses with DC1.
On the verge of gestational diabetes with DC3
Better skin with DC2
HORRIBLE skin with DC1
Same weight gain with all 3 so far.
Exhausted with DC2 and DC3
