Ignorant person on the LIRR this morning!
so my little sister just IM'd me to tell me that she got into a fight this morning with a nutjob who claims that my sister stole her seat. she didnt but, whatever, thats not the point.
the woman then got loud and stood there and started calling her names like chin k and gook (we're filipino) and made her cry! who in their right mind does this???? i didnt know that people still use these terms and are this ignorant????? i wanted to get up and find this woman and kick the crap out of her!!!!
why is there still such ignorance in teh world?????

Let me tell you- if you want to see the WORST that society has to offer- take the LIRR for one day.
It is truly disgraceful the way people act on those trains.
It's like all sense of decency goes out the window.

this happened at around 830am and she's STILL crying. i feel terrible, im the big sister and ive always tried to protect her from these $hit bags!
and no, she didnt give up her seat or fight back and call her names. she yelled at her but she knows that using derogatory terms will only make you seem ignorant too. so she stood her ground. i'm proud of her but sooooo sad for her and wish it would've happened to me instead of her, cause it would've been a brawl on the LIRR!!!

Oh Emily, I am so sorry for your sister.
Seriously, it's such a good thing that I don't have to take the train to work, I would be fighting with people everyday.
If I saw that while I was on the train, I woulda kicked the sh!t outta that girl, no prob.
There's no excuse for such closed-minded-ness and cruelty like that.
Give your sis a from me.

People are so dumb. I'm so sorry this happened to your sister. And you wanting to protect her is sweet
I wonder if this is a regular on her train. And I wonder how people around her didnt' say a word. I think its sad that people stand for this kind of thing. Especially that it made her start to cry? I'm trying to put myself in this situation, seeing someone do this to your sister, and I'd like to think that I'd say something. I obviously can't put myself in that position, but I really feel like I would...

I hated the LIRR with a passion. When I first statred commuting I sat in a seat and some woman told me to move because these were "saved seats" she and her friends sat there every nite. I had a few choice words for her
