IKEA entertainment centers? where to shop?

Is it worth the trip? We have a 57" widescreen TV that we need a unit for. I'm looking for a nice piece of furniture for it. We went to Macy's, Fortunoff, Ashley, and Levitz yesterday to no avail really. We found 1 piece in each store that would fit, but it either wasn't the style/color/price we were looking for. We want to head out shopping again today - recommendations? Is IKEA worth the trip? We're in Mineola.

I love IKEA just for browsing, so I think it's always worth it Chat Icon .

We looked everywhere for a TV stand, and finally ended up at Furn-A-Kit.

well, i live in NJ, so i'm pretty close to the ones in elizabeth and paramus, so i definitley think its worth it!
its literally a whole day thing- lol. they have a cafe thing where you can get lunch.... and you can just browse through all the different room set ups they have, and the " marketplace" where you can get the smaller stuff ( candles, pots and pans, gadgets). then, at the end, you can get a $1 fat free frozen yogurt to take home with you Chat Icon

oh you're much closer to IKEA than me, and I go there fairly regularly Chat Icon

definitely worth the trip, as long as you are fairly confident in your furniture-assembling ability. (only get one chance to get a screw into veneered particle board!)

most of our furniture is IKEA, and it's held up quite well over the years.....
must have a cinnamon bun when you go there Chat Icon
