Question re: entertainment centers...
Would you say that entertainment centers are "out dated"? A friend of mine was selling one on craigslist and a random guy emailed her saying that no one buys them anymore and they are "out dated". Do you agree??
Now in the back of my head I'm thinking this, and we just ordered one a week ago thats supposed to be delivered on Wed! Not that some random guy that emailed a friend of mine is going to change my mind, but I was just wondering what you all though about it.
This is the wall unit we ordered... we have a 61 inch TV that I didn't want in the room "all by itself"

Re: Question re: entertainment centers...
My GF has the same one and I really really like it. I wouldn't worry what he said.

Re: Question re: entertainment centers...
i don't like em...too much going on. Espcially with plasmas and lcd being mounted on the wall, its hard to combine both elements....

Re: Question re: entertainment centers...
I don't think they are. In a TV room I think it helps anchor the room to have a big piece of furniture like that. That is a nice one - where did you get it?

Re: Question re: entertainment centers...
I like entertainment centers but I do think that big pieces of furniture are not "in" right now. The trend now is for very simple modern furniture. But you should have what you love in your home.

Re: Question re: entertainment centers...
I would say the trend is moving away from them. Simplicity is in, hanging plasmas on the wall or sitting them on top of smaller cabinets.
Buy what works for you.

Re: Question re: entertainment centers...
I have almost the same entertainment center so I don't think they are updated!
I think a lot depends on the type of room you have. I have a very large living room / dining room and I felt like the room needed a large piece of furniture.

Re: Question re: entertainment centers...
No, not at all. Most of them are made to house plasmas now. Not everyone wants to mount theirs on a wall.

Re: Question re: entertainment centers...
I have one (though different from your picture) and am looking for something new. Our apartment had a long wall, so I was able to keep all 3 pieces together. Our house is set up differently, so the pieces had to be separated. I'd like to get new, lower pieces so clear up some wall space for pictures.

Thanks.. we ordered it from Rooms to Go.
Our living room is REALLY big so I think this will fill it up a bit. I am just hoping that once we get it,I still like it!
