Especially with kids
They were painting at a birthday party, and last minute I told my friend to give me some big bags,and WALLAH makeshift smocks

Creative, but I don't think that's a good idea. Plastic bags aren't supposed to be given to children. Let's say that your child remembers that time mom put that cool plastic bag over me to paint. So your child gets out a plastic bag one day when you are in another room, etc. and tries to put it over his head to make it like mommy did and suffocates. Not a good idea at all IMO. I think I would just invest in a cheapo art smock.

very true. I did think of this right away when we did it so I did lecture them about it, not to do this, only mommy and daddy can.
but i think youre right just the fact that i did it might tell them its ok in general. and we know kids will want to try something you tell them to NEVER do.
I remember using big bags when it was pouring at a soccer game (in this smock style) many moons ago (when I was a kid), I guess thats where I got the terrible idea.
but seriously you make a great point
