ILs - do you get them bday gifts?

For awhile now DH's sisters and I get each other a little something for bdays - and I mean little - like a picture frame or nailpolishes or something - a token gift. I don't remember who started it but we did. So now the first bday of the year came up - I'm debating if I should go get a little something (like $5) or end it?

Anyone else trade with their SILs?

I got lucky..my IL's live in Florida and my MIL is a Jehovahs' witness...so no gifts for her. FIL..we call and wish a happy birthday or send cards.

DH and I usually get a combined gift for them

They stopped getting us stuff, so I stopped getting them stuff.

I realized after about 3 years that they never get me anything and this year they gave DH a used library book.

I'm not wasting my time or money anymore and told DH that if he wants to get them something it's up to him.

Yup. I really like both my brother and my BIL future wives.

we usually give them framed pics of the all the grandkids...nothing fancy

I am kind of putting a stop to it-as far as 26 yr old BIL and GF go- We have bought them gifts each year-and again our bdays passed and they didn't get us anything- so, this year, that's it-no more gifts for them. We all get along really well-however they just don't buy gifts and are kind of stingy-oh well

Younger BIL-he is 10-we buy a gift

parents-we buy gifts for them and they buy gifts for us (most of the time)

I don't have siblings, so it only for Dhs family

i do but thats because we get along so well. last summer she got me a Coach wristlet! DH's whole family is very generous to me and vice versa.

We always buy MIL a gift
SIL and BIL get cards.

We are very close and go all out....for birthdays, holidays, wedding stuff!

We get for my ILs but not for my SIL. She does not do for us and/or DS so we stopped doing for her last year.

DH has a very small family and we all exchange gifts for holidays and birthdays.

I think even if you exchange something small, it's a nice gesture.

I don't, but we're not that close. they live in a different state so we don't see them either.

Everyone on DH's side gets a birthday card. Only his nephews/neices and parents get gifts.
