I'm 3-4 cm dilated **Contractions 8 mins Apart**
I'm trying not to get too excited because I really feel like internals are false hope. The only reason I had one is b/c she stripped my membranes. I am doing all I can to avoid a medical induction.
She feels that my body is progressing nicely. Now I just need some real and regular contractions. I'm going to go walk to mall tonight and hope that does something.
Otherwise I've got acupuncture tomorrow and she said I could come back Friday and they would strip my membranes again.
I'll take lots of labor vibes starting right about now.  I would love to not make it to my 1 day overdue appointment on Monday.
***Well it's 8:30 here and now my contractions have been 8 minutes apart for about an hour. Still totally bearable though. I'm going to see what the next hour brings and make a call to my midwife if they get worse. I wouldn't think twice except that I was already almost 4cm dilated.***

i was fully effaced and 3cm dilated for a week and a half... so i agree, those numbers can definitely give you false hope. BUT you could still go at any time, especially after having your membranes stripped!

I am having contractions so that's the good part. I just need them to be stronger, longer and more regular.
I'm trying hard not to hold onto any false hope though.

I'm hoping tonight is it for you (and selfishly, for myself too!) I'm also fully effaced and 3cm since last Friday, but my contractions are 5 min apart but totally not painful! I have tried everything to get things moving, with no success! If you figure out a secret, let me know!

ETA: When I was in labor with Chase, my contractions were not intense at all, and they were only lasting about 30 sec. But I was in full blown labor (6 + cm) They asked me if I was home and feeling these if i would have come to the hospital...i told them no. they said with my next baby, if I feel anything like that, even though they werent intense or long, tht I had to go right to the hospital. So just don't short change the contractions. I have a feeling that if you went to the hospital they would prob keep you and maybe give you a little pit to help your contractions

even if the contractions aren't regular or particularly strong, you could still be in early labor. i did my entire early labor at work, with irregular, only mildly painful contractions. things didn't get painful until active labor hit.
i am hopeful for you!!!!

Well it's been almost 2 hours of contractions anywhere from 10-15 minutes apart. I'm afraid to get my hopes up after the 2 days of prodromal labor I had with my daughter.
I'll keep you guys posted.
