im a breast milk donor finally!
it took 4 months to get accepted with the screening, bloodwork, and im finally accepted. i sent them 240 ounces today and have another 500 to send when they send me a new cooler.
im also excited they sent me a brand new breast pump!
funny how the little things make you happy!
im just happy i can help children in need in africa and premie babies.

That is AMAZING! You should be so proud! Hell I'm proud of you. I never had that much milk. I wish I did but it was a struggle to just get to 7 months of BF for each of my kids!

julz, im still bfing my son and for some reason my body over produces between 20-24 ounces a day. we got a second freezer and ive been storing the milk in both. i was upset it took 4 months to get approved as i had zero room in my freezer for food. i did not know about donating when i was nursing my daughter or i would have donated too.
thanks ladies - my dh told me he s so proud of me for doing this. i can easily cut out a pumping session and reduce my supply but im pumping 3 times a day and the 3rd session goes to donation. it also helps with keeping my weight the same.
