i'm already stressing- what to do about the christening?

i'm counting the amount of people we'd have between family and close friends and i'm coming up with about 100 people

How do you keep the list down? I dont even know of a place that would accomodate that many people without it costing a fortune

I used an Elks Lodge and it worked out really well for us. You won't have to pay full price for liquor and you can get your favorite place to cater.

I may go with lower-end catering hall for this one just because I have Juliette too and I want to be able to enjoy myself this time.

Don't worry! THere are a lot of people I won't be inviting this time to keep costs down if I have it in a hall-a lot of people that I shouldn't have invited to the first one. Remember, it's not a wedding!!! And people need to understand that if you don't invite them. These things aren't cheap!

i've even thought of having it at my parents house, but its just too many people, and it will probably be cold out so we wouldn't even be able to use the outside.

I am in the same boat! And it's tough b/c of you cross off certain people but keep others, it couls be a disaster waiting to happen.

We're having the party @ our house, and I am petrified it'll rain, where the heck will I put all those people?!?! DH says not to worry about it--easier said than done!!

I am actually going to sit down w/ him this weekend and go over the list--our DS's baptrism won't be unitl the end of August, but want to clear this up now.

We would have the same problem - between family and close friends (and their children) we would be inviting around 130 people.

I decided against this and am just going to have a huge first birthday party!
