I'm at work, and I almost cried
 
from sadness, then from laughing....
I had a patient show up 90 minutes early for her appt. Per office policy, I tried to squeeze her in, but we're totally booked. I offered to call her if anything opened between now and her scheduled time.
She THREW THE SIGN IN BOARD at me and stormed out!!!!!
Half hour later, she calls me from her house to say that I should be fired and she's going to speak with my boss tomorrow.
Then she started screaming (in broken english - it took me a couple of times to understand what she was saying) MAY GOD SMITE YOU....GOD SMITES YOU.....GOD...SMITES....YOUUUUU
She followed up with "I hope one day you're in terrible terrible pain and the fat ugly secretary DENIES YOUUUUU, AND GOD SMITES YOUUUUUUU"
I'm scared, pray for my well-being, please!

I'm sorry you had a rough day at work... are you sure maybe she wasn't possessed or something, I mean it's NOT your fault you could not get her in earlier and You were booked, what were you suppose to do cancel someone else's appointment to please her. Dont worry god wont smite you and you wont get fired because you have a good heart and also a hard worker.

This is what I love about the English language, I am always learning new words! I have used smitten many times without realizing the root word was smite! I will try to use it in a sentence tomorrow! 
Oh, and by the way, she sounds like a nasty person!!
