I'm back from the cardiologist & surgeon (for my follow up appt)...
And I am doing very well and ahead of schedule with my recovery. The stitch that came out was removed along with a knot at the end of it (OUCH!!!!). No infection so far. However, they did another chest xray, the one they did when I was discharged from the hospital showed some fluid in my lungs. My cardiologist wanted to be sure the levaquin knocked it out, so please pray that there is no fluid in my lungs. My EKG & Echo were OK and I have to go back next month. At next month's visit we find out if the heart muscle function stopped compensating for the leaky valve (that was replaced). If the heart muscle is functioning at its optimal level, then NO TRANSPLANT!!!! And that means that this surgery was a success!!!
So please say prayers that this worked.
I am feeling great and I walked for over 45 minutes today around the hospital going to and from appointments. This was the most I have walked since I had my surgery two weeks ago & this is a VERY GOOD thing!!!
