Here's how it went down for me:)
I was given the reciepe by my midwife. Dh went to Walgreens and pick up the Castor Oil. I have also seen it at supermarkets. Once you know what your looking for you'll notice lots of places have it.
It really takes a small amount. I took mine @ 10:30pm approx and by Midnight I was calling L&D at started pushing at 2pm (10cm) 5:17pm I had my son.
My clinic would not induce and my husband was getting ready to deploy . I was having labor pains frequently that would be 5 minutes apart and would go on for hours and just end. Was basically fully effaced and 2cm before I drank my cocktail and it was a full moon.
Wow, you defnitely had luck with it. It's now been 4 hours and I have only had slight cramping. Nothing more than I have had. 
I'm patiently waiting for something to start. I took 2 oz at 4:30. Do you remember how many oz you took?

It can have the same affect where you have diarhea and it cleans you out. It's reaction on everyone is different.

3 tsp castor oil with about 7oz's of my cocktail drink and then a bunch of water.
One of the things my midwife warm me of was dehydration so she told me to make sure I added the water as well.
I was 2 days shy of 40 weeks.

ahhhh nothing yet!!
This $uck$. I drank the gross stuff for nothing!!!! I just took 2 tablespoons with hope to kick start this a bit!
I am 39 weeks exactly today. Stubborn little !!!!

please make sure you hydrate yourself while taking it which is why I won't share her exact forumla. I was under strict orders from my nurse and had an appointment the following day if i wasen't in L&D. I've don't know of anyone who took extra later on, so just be careful.

ok girls..so either my stubborn isn't ready at 39 weeks or my body didn't like the stuff.
i've had contractions, but nothing timeable or worth calling the Dr about.
around midnight it did have a funky effect on my stomach, which was uncomfortable but I was expecting it based on reviews with people using this stuff.

Good luck!!! My friend did that and had a bad experience. She didnt have the baby, but she was sick to her stomach for a few days and had terrible cramps but not contractions, I think they were more from gas or the oil sitting in her stomach.
