Im did it! JS related Updated w/PICS
I have an appt for Japanse Straightening tomorrow and I am totally nervous about this.
I am going to New Mode in Plainview.
They charge $250-280 and I dont have to travel to Queens

Nervous about the "change" and you know, getting mixed reviews about doing it.
I know it will be better for me and a lot easier.

I went to Top point a week ago today and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. My hair was so wavy and out of control. Now it's nice and soft and shiny. It's the best thing I've ever done.

ETA: Question for ladies who have had it done, I part hair to side and do this since I am growing out bangs so I would need to let them know to use that part? If so, will I eventualy be able to change my part or its permanent?

The girl asked me. I told her the middle, so that's how they did it, but sometimes I part it on the side and it's still fine.

I told her - and I'm glad I did. Originally the part was in the middle and then she redid it a bit.
eta. i'm only 2 days in but I think I would have trouble changing the part in the front.

I don't want to alarm you... but I have a friend who went there about 8 months ago and they totally ruined her hair!!!! And I mean ruined it! It was totally burnt and fried looking! I'm trying to get a hold of her now to see who she used.
I hope you have a better experience... make sure you get an experienced person working on your hair!!!!

My sister has used them more than once and had no problems.
Thanks for heads up and let me know who she used if possible.
