I'm going back to work tonight and really can use advice
I'm so bummed about going back, but financially, it has to be done. Since we have no family out here and work really odd hours, we have to work around each other's schedules to watch DS ourselves. This means even less time seeing DH now.
Is there any advice you have to keep my spirits up? I don't even have a desk for pictures. Has anybody else not done daycare and just split watching the baby with DH?

There's no easy way to do it.
I work pretty normal office hours, and so far my DW hasn't gone back to work full time. When she does, it will most likely be evenings so that we're the primary caregivers to our son.
You just have to keep your thoughts on the longer term, and realize what you're working for. It's to give your family a better life down the road.
It will suck, but stay strong and you'll see it really pay off. It's totally worth your sacrifice to be able to say that you raised your DS yourselves, and the time you spend with your DH will be that much more special.
Congratulations on making this difficult decision, and best of luck - I know you'll figure out how to make it work!

The only thing I can suggest, is take advantage of the time when you're both off together. Make sure to get out of the house and do something fun, or even just stay in and make a nice meal. Since your alone time will be limited, just do your best to make the most of the time you do have.

I don't have any advice- just wanted to give you lots and lots of hugs. I'm going back to work a week from today, so I'm right there with you! It totally sucks!

DH and I only have to do this two days a week. All I can say I guess is make the most of your weekends together.

Just wanted to offer you lots and lots of . I had DS just a bit after you and cannot imagine going to work now. But, at the same time it is amazing that you and DH can split the time and not have to have someone else caring for the baby.

I wish. We work weekends. Typically, our days off don't coordinate. But this week we have Thursday off together!!!!
