im going to 21 Main tonight for the first time
What is the dress like and any reccomendations on dishes. i cant wait, Its our fist child free dinner in just about 1 yr.

i wouldn't wear jeans - we went in the summer and i wore a casual summery skirt with a nice top - nothing too crazy and i don't think you'll get turned away for jeans - i just wouldn't wear them - unless MAYBE they were ultra dressy dark denim with a really nice shirt and shoes. you are safe with nice pants - your hubby in khaki pants - that sort of thing. kind of like business casual, KWIM? 
aside from that - it is EXCELLENT. one of our fave places - the food is out of this world and the service was great. i had twin brazilian lobster tails and DH had steak - everything was out of this world. we had the calamari for an app and it was the *BEST* we've ever had - so, enjoy! they also have a great wine selection... have fun!!!!

I didn't get dressy dressy when I went.
I had a nice pair of pants on a somewhat dressy shirt

I probably wore a skirt but we went for our anniversary, so I probably dressed up more to please my DH.

I always dress up in black pants when I go there. I always see people there in jeans and I dont think its a casual steakhouse.

Business casual is fine. 21 Main is awesome, we've been there twice, once before and once after our wedding. Same owners as Flowerfield, so the food is superb!

Kobe beef eggrolls are YUM.
As to the entree, order right from the grill. Don't get the pasta or the chicken. Get the STEAK. 
I am JEALOUS!
ETA: Dress with room to breathe after a delicious meal! The desserts are from Audrey's - so splurge!
