Im going to buy an OPK
today but have questions. Im sure the test is self explanatory but how does this test determine you are ovulating?

I get the digital ones ... they are more expensive but totally worth my sanity!!!!
The normal kind you have to compare the color of the lines. The test line needs to be the same color or darker than the control line to be positive. The tests measures a hormone that your body produces 24-36 hours prior to ovulation

I bought it and I find it pretty useless, I can't tell if the damn line is there or not if its darker or not. I bought a fertility monitor, and I am waiting (patiently) for it to come! Good luck though, I would get a digital one if anything....

Where did you get the fertility moniter from. My girlfriend uses the OPK test and she swears by it. She has been pregnant twice within the last year. Unfortunately she lost both pregnancies.

I bought the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor from ebay for about $80 brand new (you can get them on Amazon.com for maybe $150) or any CVS carries them.....It's extremely easy to use and pinpoints exactly when you are at "peak".
