I'm here!

Doing a little better, but Dr. has me on bedrest all week...not that I can do much anyway. I ended up gaining about 18 pounds and have gone down 6 since Saturday...so hopefully I'm getting better.
The only hitch is going to be if I am PG, I may start swelling up again due to HCG in my body.
Still feeling extremely winded and uncomfortable, but I have my sister's laptop so I am able to recline and post.Chat Icon

Re: I'm here!

I'm glad you're doing well.

I don't mean to sound ignorant, and I'm sorry for asking this...and if you don't want to answer, I understand...but what is causing all of these problems for you?

Re: I'm here!

I hyperstimulated. They retrieved 49 eggs at my retrieval and when they retrieve the eggs they burst the follicle that holds each egg. Due to the HCG shot, which brings on ovulation, the follicles then fill with water, which blows up the ovaries, which then leak into the abdomen. This causes the extreme weight gain. It is a risk for anyone with PCOS, but because of my age I don't think they expected me to produce what I did.
Anyway, the only way to resolve is to insert a catheter and drain as much fluid as they can and then wait for the rest to drain naturally.

But they can still use some of those eggs to inseminate you, right?? Have they told you anything about how the eggs are doing? I'm keeping everything crossed for you. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I had 22 excellent quality embies and 3 were implanted last Monday...If it doesn't work this time (which with the way I was vomiting last Wednesday wouldn't surprise me) then I have 19 frozen.

That's great, so if you have a bunch frozen that's a good part of the battle of the IVF cycle that is not necessary. I'm still hoping you're pregnant this cycle, but at least you have many more hanging around just waiting to become babies. Good luck. I'm very excited for you, its ridiculous. I feel like its happening to me...lol.
