so.. i went to have my initial bloodwork done at the RE's office on Friday morning - that afternoon, they call me and tell me that my pregnancy hormone level is slightly higher than it should be (a 5.7, and it needed to be 5 or lower in order for me to start clomid or have an HSG done). I had started spotting on thursday (CD23) and on Friday, had blood, but not an actual flow yet. They said it was probably a mistake and to come back in for another test.
Went back to dr's office on Saturday morning for another blood test - they call me that afternoon and the level had gone up to a 7. so i asked them what that meant and they said it could indicate a bio chemical pregnancy, or i could be pregnant. they said to keep an eye on my spotting (if it turns into real flow, then i'm not pregnant and the hormone level means that it was a biochemical pregnancy). So, they want me back in on monday morning for another blood test. it's now cd26 and i have sporadic spotting but no AF yet.
either way.. i feel like i'm stuck in limbo right now. I 'might' be pregnant (trying not to get my hopes up) or i might have had a chemical pregnancy. I just want to know so i can deal with it either way and know what to feel.. this wait is killing me.
I really hope tomorrow's test tells me something conclusive
thanks for listening ladies..
10/5 update. had my blood test this morning - dr just called me and my hormone levels are way down. So, i'm not pregnant and the tests from a few days ago must have been indicating a bio chemical pregnancy
