well i put in the application just in case... (oh and i called and the dog is still available! ).
So i guess i'll wait and see. Hopefully by the time they review my application (up to 2 days)... the dog is still available.

So i got an email from the lady last night about his personality.
This is what she said...
You and Steve have come to the exact right place. The type of temperament and disposition that Steve desires in his future companion is TYPICAL IrishJack! No kidding… If you came over and hung out here for any length of time you would see that the dogs are just that- spirited, lively, playful, funny and just full of personality and character yet, they are totally chill.
The IrishJacks are driven byn their desire to be with you and to please. They will step up to the late for absolutely anything- put on your running shoes, take out a ball or frisbee, heck, my dogs will run along side me when I am on a horse, yet, when it is time to chill out and relax, say lounging out on the sofa watching tv, they will curl up with you and just hang out.
They love to go in the car simply because they want to go with you and be with you. Can I tell you, my little Elvis follows me into the bathroom! And, I do take him everywhere I go- last week I went for a pedicure and they said, "where is Elvis? we miss Elvis"…. one time I made the mistake of going to my dentist without Elvis- boy, did they give me a hard time! Many places I am known as Elvis' mom, not Susan!
You've probably heard things like, 'you need to have a big fenced-in yard for a Jack Russell blah, blah, blah… well, let me tell you something, Ali, an IrishJack doesn't want to be in that big yard unless you are out there with them! They are the truest companions and simply the coolest most amazing dogs. You really need to experience it to fully understand how special these dogs are. They really are a step above canine and unlike any other breed. I know my experience and how I feel about the dogs but, the coolest thing is to hear it over and over from my clients and see that they are having the same experience and enjoying their dogs more than they ever imagined they could.
Now, little Mr. Galen, well, he is simply perfect! He is 'typical' IrishJack in all the wonderful ways you'd want him to be but, he is just extra cute and sweet. Honestly, for what Steve is looking for, just about any of the pups would be appropriate but, I think that Galen is just a little bit more sweet and a little bit more quiet and chill then most others- you just could not go wrong with Galen!! and that's a fact… ;)

Go & see the dog in person & get a feel for the breeder that way, since she is only 3 hours away & the time in the car can be used to bond with the dog.

i know. i've talked to 2 people though who got their dogs from her and its all been positive things.
And they have this great huge website with tons of pictures that their clients have sent in and TONS of testimonials.
But yes... i guess we won't know for sure until we go there.

It sounds great!
I have a few dogs that are considered "difficult" and "high maintenance" and I'll tell you the breeder for Pyxie especially gave a "hard sell," but when we got there her house & the kennel area were immaculate & the dogs were amazing! (there were 12 dogs there at the time...it was too cute for words!)

Yeah well we wouldn't buy the dog without seeing him first and checking out the place. But i do know that she lives on a farm, which is good.
yeah that's what i'm afraid of... seeing too many cute puppies!!! I could so be a cat woman or a dog lady if i had tons of money and a farm!
