I'm Mad.
last month kevins phone was stolen in hte middle of the night at a park. (long story, we were fighting so he went to the park) anyway.... so we canceled the phone and reported it stolen later that day.
Now the bill comes and the perons that stole it made $100 worth of phone calls and we are being charged for it! I called the one phone number that cost us $80 and the answering machine was all in Spanish so i KNOW it was not us.
I REALLY hope Cingular takes care of this.

he is on the phone with them now. i am HOPING it will be ok since we DID report it stolen, but you never know with these sort of things.
etA: it was romaing, so i am guessing the guy took it somewhere else or somehting. it just stinks. he left the house at 2am and came hoem at 5am. he had fallen alseep at hte park and poor thing was like "someone took my phone" ifelt bad b/c i didnt answer his calls when he called at like 2:30. all the calls were made at 3:30 that morning.
lol, im just glad i didnt do it! when he told me the phone bill was $100 over i was like "damm it jes, you and your text messaging"

i think if you called the police or field a report to begin with its easier, did you? - a friend of mine had another carrier and they gave her hell until she realized she had a police report and then they were super nice!

we noticed it was stolen at like 5am. we went online at like 9am and reported it stolen with the Cingular website.
then.. we got dressed and went STRAIGHT to the Cingular store on Broadway. Kevin told them what happened. They canceled that SIM card and made us purchase a new one. Lukcily, Kevin still had an old phone so he just put the new SIM card in the old phone.
Everything was fine.
NOW........ he is on the phone with the THIRD person. they are soooo stupid. they are saying they are legit calls. waht ?!?! they are ROAMING, we REPORTED it stolen WITH THEM! and bought a new SIM card fom them at hte store!!!!!
im sooooooooooooo mad

Ok... well after speaking to hte FOURTH person! and being on the phone for about 2 hours they finally dropped the charges. It was just soooooo weird.
I dont understand. Would they rather lose the $100 of fruadjulent charges ? or the $100 every month that we pay as good customers?!
so stupid. so very stupid.
