I'm not pregnant yet but have a question about sex...
DH is worried that we wont have any sex for 9 months when we get preggo. so my question...how often do you have sex now that you are pregnant? has it changed your sex life dramatically?

Honestly, I think it all depends on the person and the situation.
For me, in my first trimester when morning sickness hit me, I wanted nothing to do with sex as I had constant nausea. My drive came back a bit in the second trimester, but then I was put on pelvic rest because my placenta was low. 
Now that I am 12 days from my due date, I don't have much energy to throw my big old pregnant self around!!!
I've read that for some girls, their sex drive goes way up, for others it goes down, and for others, they are not allowed to for medical reasons. Other girls say their DH doesn't want to because they are afraid of hurting the baby!!!
Sorry if this doesn't help... it really seems to be something on a case by case basis! But in the end, you will have a wonderful new addition to your family!

Also there can be medical issues that prevent you from having sex as well. I had one and we couldn't have sex from week 20 until after DS was born.

There were 8 weeks during my pregnancy during which I was not allowed to have sex, due to low lying placenta. My husband wanted a child badly enough that I never once heard a complaint about this.

I was put on pelvic rest in the beginning (no sex) also due to a low lying placenta. Once it was cleared up we went back to doing it - but it didnt last long. DH is afraid to do it bc he thinks he's hurting the baby. No matter what I tell him, he just won't do it. Of course I didnt make matters better when I jokingly told him, that he's just be giving the baby little "noogies"

ours had not changed, until I was put on pelvic rest. no sex, period. its been about 2 months now and it sucks.
but i don't think things would have been different if that did not happen.

Well I hope this doesn't continue for the rest of my pregnancy, but in the first trimester I bled whenever we did it so we didn't do it often. The bleeding was too traumatic for me. Since then, it's been few and far between. My poor DH is definitely deprived.

Did you tell your doctor? I only bled once after sex when I was about 20 weeks and she sent me to L&D to figure out what was going on. Turns out I had a vaginal polyp and I was put on pelvic rest. But that can be a sign of a low lying placenta as well.

I had a complete previa, and was put on pelvic rest at the very beginning of my PG through 6 weeks PP. I hated it b/c I was very, um, "interested" and there was nothing I could do about it.
DH was awesome though, and you attitude about it changes when you get PG I think.

As the PP's said, it does depend upon the person. For us, the first trimester was 1x a week... and only that much because I made a valiant effort to do it. I wanted nothing to do with sex because I felt so crappy all the time. Now that I'm into my 2nd trimester, I wouldn't say my libido has skyrocketed but it has gotten better and I feel much better so we're getting back to normal.
It'll be what you guys make of it. If this is a big concern for your DH, I would just make sure that I made a tremendous effort to not have it be an issue.

Yes, I did tell him and he said not to worry. It hasn't happened since I was maybe 10 weeks so I'm not worried anymore either.

It really depends on your pregnancy and how you're feeling...I have my "elevated libido" days and I have my "don't touch me days"...but for the most part I don't feel very sexy these days which definitely decreases my "elevated libido" days

My 1st trimester I couldn't even think about sex. Had absolutely no desire to do anything! Now that I am in my 2nd trimester maybe every once in a while. Nothing like before I got pregnant.
