My son's very close friend from the time they were 10 years old died in the line of duty yesterday in Iraq. g0d damn-ed son of a b!tches....when will this nonsense end?????? This kid Matt wanted to be an Army Ranger since he was a kid. He had enlistment set up while he was in 11th grade. He left for boot camp 3 weeks after he & my son graduated in 2005. He was in Iraq just a few months later. Less than 2 years later he is dead. I can't even believe it. I'm so horrified for his parents....I can't imagine. This is the 3rd young man out of my son's original group of buddies that has died tragically. My son looks like he's about to die, he has been crying & cursing. I just don't know what to say to him to make it better. Please say a prayer for Matt's family
I am so sorry for your son's friend loss... Yes it can be very devastating when you lose 'Close' friend's from school. Just sit down with him and let him vent...scream...cry...curse but hold him and tell him you are there for him when he wants to 'talk' maybe going to a social worker and letting him talk to a stranger about it will help. Again i am sorry.
