I"m so worried! Updated: I spoke with Dr's Office

I'm sitting here practically in tears because I dont know what to do! I just went to the bathroom and there was some brown spotting- goopy, like ewcm, with some little pinkish-redish lines thru it- I'm totally freaking out!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

ETA: Over 3 hours and no one has called me back!!!!!!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Update: I just spoke with the NP, and she said thats its most likely implantation bleeding that is just making its way out now. She said she is not concerned in the least bit. She said to take it easy, and if I have any more concerns or if I see bright red blood to call them back. I feel much better. Thank you guys so much for your support!!! Your beta was good...It could be nothing. You cant know, so all you can do is try to relax and try to think positive because thats what will help right now.

If you have any cramping or red/heavy pink bleeding ...call the dr.

If not and its just what you described, it can be 100% totally normal in early PG. Call the Dr. in the AM for a sono to make you feel better.

I know it could be nothing- but the thought that it could be something is what is bothering me. DH isnt helping either- he keeps telling me that we should go to the ER- which I do not want to do

ETA: Thank you though- I really appreciate it. Chat Icon I hope it is nothing.

Re: I"m so worried!

I know your DH is just worried, but there's no need to go to the ER. Since the blood is not red, you are probably just leaking/spotting some old blood. Give your Dr. a call tomorrow and go from there. Try to not to worry too much. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: I"m so worried!

I understand, I would probably be hyperventilating if it were me, so I can only imagine how scared your feeling.

The ER is not the place to go. Theres nothing they can do even if it were a M/c..WHICH it doesnt sound like.

The best thing to do is drink some water and lay down with your feet up to make sure your blood is still flowing and of course As I know I would be, keep checking.

There are a MILLION reasons for spotting like that that do not include having a M/C. I have been there msyelf...Keep telling yourself its normal until you know otherwise. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: I"m so worried!

Trust me ladies, I'm definitely not going to the ER- there are people that need more medical attention than I do.

I"m going to up to bed, and relax and just lay down. I'm going to call the dr in the am. Hopefully all this turns into nothing. Thanks so much again for your reassurances. Chat Icon

Re: I"m so worried!

I am so sorry that I did not see this last night!
I have been experiencing this since the day after I got my BFP. So far it is being attributed it to a cyst rupturing. Also I had the remnants of a nasty little yeast infection right before my BFP & that also can cause a mucous-y pinkish discharge.

Call your Dr & get another blood test to make sure your Betas are increasing, or ask for an early sono to check placement. At this point you might even be able to hear a heartbeat.

Re: I"m so worried!

Thanks Ladies. So far today, no brown spotting at all. I called the Dr's office but Dr Hanauer is on vacation. I'm waiting for the Nurse Practioner to call me back. I'll let you know when I hear something.

I didnt want to be annoying- but they said they might want to send me to the lab for more bloodwork- and I think the lab closes at like 3- and I CANNOT go thru a whole weekend without knowing what is going on.

Re: I"m so worried!

Call them again & tell them you want to get bloodwork.
Quest opens at 6:30 am. Not to be a downer, but even if you went now, they would not get the results until Monday.

BTW...this was my life last week. Chat Icon

Ask them to fax you a prescription for Quest (they will also sent it to Quest, but get one for yourself just in case they lose it - which also was my life last week).

If you go to Quest, get there at 6:30 - no joke. I went at 8:30 last week & there were 42 people ahead of me. It was insane!

Re: I"m so worried!

I went to Quest this morning at 9:30 and was in and out in five minutes tops (thank god)

They were able to just put the script in Quest's computers so everything was there when I went in.
