I agree!!!
They WANTED to be celebrities so they would be rich and famous. The paparazzi definitely take it too far... but if they didn't have fans who would be excited to get a picture of them or a scribbled name on a napkin from them, they wouldn't get the millions per movie they get!!!
Show me the money, I'll give up my privacy! I'm a teacher, I have given up LOTS of privacy now, I see my kids or the parents EVERYWHERE... where are my millions?

If you are a celebrity you know that people are going to be taking pictures of you and following you around. You know what the job is like from previous celebrities stop crying that you have no private life.
AMEN sister. Please, I'd give up my privacy to not have to worry about money anymore

I think it goes both ways.
I think it's fine to have regular people take pics of you and ask you to do sign things if they're polite, but screaming mobs or not being able to eat in a restaurant because people won't leave you alone, or not to be able to go grocery shopping is too much. And the paparazzi often is WAY too much.
There's an article I read about the day in the life of a paparazzi - and it was one of the saddest thing I'd ever read. Really pathetic and scary how obsessed they are, what their day to day lives are like, IMO.
Like others have said - there's a line I think when it gets to be insane, and it often does, they have a right to say back off. They may be celebrities, and most of it comes with the territory - most of it they should just accept gracefully, but some of it...
