im sure that you ladies can relate

Good Morning ladies,

i have a couple of things that i would like to ask advice on..

1) Insomnia- i've read that this can sometimes be a symptom during the early and last stages in pregnancy, however, ive been waking up anywhere from 4/5am and not being able to go back to sleep. have any of you had this? what are you tips if any on going back to sleep?

2) Mood Swings- the past couple of days i've had a bad attitude and everything annoys me. How can be a nicer wife and mom? i have a almost 4yr and im trying not to snap at him or at my DH. Any tips on that? also, i know this is a symptom as well, however i do not want to be a b*tch to my family during the process of my 1st trimester!

So first off Im experiencing this as well so its completely normal... The bad news is Im in my second trimester so I dont think it just ends after the first... The good news, the insomnia has gotten better, its not completely gone but 100 times better... BUT the bad mood not so much...

1. Insomnia- I was doing the same thing as you... Wake up and then cant fall back to sleep for an hour or more and then would feel like total crap in the morning for work... I found that if I meditated before bed it helped a lot... I also found that when I woke up, I would take some deep breaths and tell myself to just clear my head and allow myself to go back to sleep. Sometimes it helped it and sometimes I didnt... The best thing I can say is when you wake up, dont get up unless its a bathroom run, dont turn on lights, dont get on your phone, just lay in bed with your eyes closed eventually you will fall back to sleep...

2. Mood Swings- Again I try to take deep breaths and remind myself that its ME thats being mean or losing patience and its not the other persons fault. And remind myself I dont want to be that person... I dont want to be mean, I dont want to nag my husband or be mean to my parents... Sometimes it helps and other times I just tell my family Im in a bad mood and I need to be alone for a little bit... Then I just watch tv, listen to music or read a book/mag till I feel better...

Dont worry yesterday I snapped out on a customer service rep because the automated system 'could not understand me' and then this rep gets on with such a heavy accent that I couldnt understand a word she was saying... Then I felt soo bad... lol
