I'm sure this has been done b4 but how did you tell DH?

I dont have anything to tell yet, but I like to think about it!

How did you tell your DH or Parents?

I'm not that creative...I took the test while DH was at work...I was so excited, I just called him on the phone and told him!

well, I wanted to do something creative, but DH knew I had my blood drawn that morning for my PG test and he was on the boat fishing with his friends, so he got a phone call from me.

I bought dh a bib and a little pair of shoes.

DH was home so when I came out of the bathroom, I handed him a test asking him if he saw that faint line.

I took a picture of the "Pregnant" Response on the test and put it in a cute card. After he opened that, I took him into the bedroom, where I had 2 balloons, 1 it's a girl and 1 it's a boy.

We went into the bathroom together to look at the test. So we found out at the same time.

I called him in and said, do you see a faint line?

I bought my parents books and my mom cried, and my father kept flipping through his grandpa book, didn't quite understand until my mother said YOU ARE GOING TO BE A GRANDFATHER YOU IDIOT!

I walked out of the bathroom and he could just tell by the look on my face. He still made me take the test again and again though!

There was no way I could have kept it from him any amount of time to plan something cute!

Dh was as eager as I was to take that pregnancy test - he always told me to wait till he got home or made sure he was there - so there was no hiding anything
As far as our parents go, we purchased a cute bib and pacifier and wrapped it and gave it to them a few days later - it was so cute to see their expression when they opened the gift and they were so happy for us.

he was home when I took the test, but didn't know I had taken it. I went downstairs - he was giving me a hug, and I puuled it out of my pocket and showed him.

no so creative, but I couldn't wait!

DH "knew" before I did. Out of no where DH asked me if AF has showed yet. I said no actually I'm one day late, which wasn't that abnormal since I stopped taking the pill. And he says well go buy a test b/c you're PG. We were not TTC so I just looked at him like and said no way am I PG. Well 5 mins later we left for the phamacy and I picked up a pack of 2 HPTs. I took one and got a very dark 2nd line and I came running out of the bathroom screaming OMG OMG OMG, LOL. DH heard me so he knew it had come out +. We gave each other a big hug and got all teary eyed. I still didn't believe it so I took the 2nd one and again got a dark second line.

I gave DH a bib. We weren't TTC at the time, so he was confused at first, LOL.

I told him on a Tuesday night while he was watching Law and Order - SVU. I just blurted it out during a commercial.

this thread has been fun!

It made me think of way to tell my parents, I'll probably get a boy and girl outfit with a bib that says I love grandma/grandpa and give each of them one. Hopefully by christmas!

It was about 2 weeks before Christmas when I found out I was pregnant so I went and got my husband a "Parents-To-Be" ornament and wrapped it up and gave it to him after wirk telling him it was an early Christmas gift for our tree.

For our parents we waited until Christmas Eve and I wrapped up bibs that said "I LOVE GRANDMA&GRANDPA" for them to open as gifts. It was really cool to see there expressions.

We looked at the test together and it said "pregnant"- so actually the test told him, not me.

I called up my mom about a minute later and said mom- I'm pregnant.

We called Dh's parents a few days later (6 hour time difference) and he said, Michelle's pregnant.

So that was it. Not creative- but so emotional.

Yeah I was hopeless. Basically at 5am I ran into the bedroom, flipped on the light and shoved the digital "Pregnant" test in his face. And said "do you see THIS?" (because he kept saying "I dont know if I see a line..." on the regular tests.
