Immune issues
If you have been diagnosed with immune issues then what is the treatment during an IVF cycle?
I was diagnosed with APS and was taking Lovenox during my IVF cycle. Also took Dex but only during stims. Just wonder what other people did.

I had IVIG which is an infusion.. Soybean/eggwhite.. I am on Lovenox and Dex 4 pills 2x a day.. The dex started right away 2 pills 2x but since i got my bfp he up'd it... th Lovenox started a little before the retreival.. then I stopped it until after the transfer.. I will be on it w/baby asprin till the end.. HTH  .. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.. I truly think that IVIG was a key here..

I've done IVIg 3 times with no success
I also take Folgard, Lovenox, and an abx for bacterial issues
This time I am going to try to talk my drs into an rx for a steroid (dex or predisone)

I am currently taking prednisone 2x daily, will start the lovenox next week and will have an intralipid infusion the week of the 27th (week before the transfer).
We shall see what happens!!

This is what I did except substituted Metanx for Folgard-it is supposed to be absorbed better -lisa you should ask for it. I took prednisone and weaned off of it between 16-18 wks. I have MTHFR, high ANA and high NK cells. I couldn't afford IVIG so I didn't do it. I am also on Vitamin E and one baby asprin a day per my immune Dr(Dr Kwak in Chicago)

When do they usually test for immune issues? I'm diagnosed with unexplained infertility and and have never had testing done for this. I've wondered if this could be what my problem is and when I questioned my RE about it, she said that if the IVF doesn't work we would look into it.

You see this makes me upset.. I think we should all be tested BEFORE we have a failed IVF so if there is an issue it can be treated!! Its just blood work.. Whats the big deal.. Boy if I knew then what i know now I would insist on that testing.. i hope this post helps someone.. i would not take no for an answer.. I wasted 2 IVF cycles out of pocket before I was tested
