Important fever question...
How long has it taken for your childs highest fever to go down without going to the doctor?
Megan had a 102 fever. I gave her tylenol last night but it didnt seem to do anything. So when she woke this morning, I gave motrin. It came down significantly but when the 4 hours was up, it went back up again. Gave her a cool bath and motrin again...now its down.
No signs of ANY pain. Shes laughing, eating, playing and sleeping. But when it spikes, she is burning! I figure if shes still running one tomorrow, I will call the ped for an appt. But I was wondering, do your children sometimes get fever with no other symptoms? How long does it take to go away? What would cause this?
I should mention Megan NEVER gets fevers.

For 102 fever, I always call the ped. because it's rare for Ava to get a fever. Keep giving her the Motrin adn call tomorrow. She could just have a viral infection I'm sorry she's till not feeling well!
