In a perfect world - how would you want the day you go into labor to go?
I bet you all can't wait for my DH to get home.
In a perfect world - I will be home when my water breaks. I will then jump in the shower - shave myself from top to bottom, throw whatever remaining laundry I have in the wash, straighten my hair with the straightener, throw all the last minute necessities into my bag, finish packing the dogs bag, make sure the dishes are clean and the house is in good condition, drop Molly off at my parents house, drive to Winthrop, be in pain - but not excruciating, get my epi, have this baby in a nice, quick, and pretty painless way!! Oh - and eat something really filling at some point during all of this.
What about you?
ETA: Also - def. not poop on the table.

I would be happy with no traffic on the way to the hospital, not too much pain during labor, no tearing and pooping on the table

i really just want to have time to shower and "groom" after that i want it to go REALLY quickly!!!!!
ETA: in an ideal world, i'd have time to give myself an enema before the shower and grooming, so as to avoid the on-the-table poop

I asked my doctor about an enema and said I really wanted one (I have a very bad stomach) and she said she doesn't do that. That kind of bummed me out.

The house is clean everything is put away, the nursery is all ready. All of a sudden my belly disappears and the doorbell rings. It's the stork with my happy and healthy baby girl.

Do the enema at home then maybe if you feel you have the time...It cannot hurt the baby, all it can do is possibly give yousome contractions and if your in labor ALREADY...well you see where Im going......?
I had to use one a week or so ago..the specialists at Madonna said it was 100% fine , as long as it wasnt more then once a week...( Cant imagine doing THAT many!!!)

I am having a C-section and all I really care about is that it is not like the Junior Mints episode of Seinfeld.
Perfect world--no going into labor before the C-section. Doctor has no emergencies that day, so I'm not waiting forever on the day of. Doctor remembers to use a clean knife.

I don't care really, the only thing I am crossing my fingers for is a natural birth again. Oh and not pooing on the delivery table would be great too

I want my water to break on my boss's desk. Since I won't know when it's breaking, my mom just told me to pee on his desk. I really dislike him. Then no one will be on the road as we travel to the hospital. I'm not looking forward to route 112 in the summer months.

Can I go back to a former job and break my water on the boss's desk?

Re: In a perfect world - how would you want the day you go into labor to go?
I go into mild labor, then my water breaks. I call DH to come pick me up from the City. While he is on his way home, I take a shower, put my make-up on and put my coming home outfits in my hospital bag.
Take my dogs out for a last pee-pee and give them hugs.
DH arrives. We make in the hospital in no time. Labor is still like mild AF cramps.
As we arrive at the hospital, I am wheeled to the L&D. Then someone says... Oh the baby is coming now.
10 minutes later our baby boy is born.

Re: In a perfect world - how would you want the day you go into labor to go?
I would sleep great the night before and wake up full of energy. My house would be nice and clean. I would have regular contractions at home and go to the hospital when they are 4 min apart, my water would break before i got there, and when i arrive it will be time to push :)

Re: In a perfect world - how would you want the day you go into labor to go?
For it to go the same way as it did for DS. I had time to do everything you wanted to Diana and I didn't poop .
About the pooping most likely you will be pooping that day which is part of labor and is getting your body ready. I went to the bathroom 4 times so I don't think their was anything left
