In general, do you hand wash or dry clean?

If something says Dry Clean or Dry Clean Only...I always do it, but I have some nice sweaters that are machine wash...and I've taken to hand washing them in Woolite! I let them soak, then I put them in the machine on spin to get the soap out, then either lay flat or put them in the dryer on low.

My laundry is generally undies, workout clothes, pjs, and Jeans...I either dry clean or hand wash everything. Sometime I get lazy and throw a sweater in; then I always feel bad, like I'll ruin it!

I don't dry clean anything, I'll just handwash it and hang it in the bathroom.

I will wear my jeans over and over again before I actually get them dry cleaned, but a friend told me years ago that they last longer and they look better if you dryclean them...and I believe it.

Also, if I spend $250 on a pair of jeans there is no way in hell I am going to chance washing them myself.

They are the one thing I will drop a lot of money on since I pretty much incorporate jeans into every friggin outfit Chat Icon

I dry clean almost everything (including a lot of my linens)...I'm just a lazy mofo. Chat Icon

if the tag reads "Hand Wash", it's going to the cleaners, unless it's underwear (a lot my g-strings have crystals and such.)

I fill up my tub with a gentle soap, soak the clothes, pound them, and turn them inside out and pound the inside. Thankfully, most of my clothes can go in the washer. That is SO time consuming. Chat Icon

Re: In general, do you hand wash or dry clean?

I dry clean a lot but lately I have come to the conclusion that something has to soak in soap and water in order to get truly clean. So, I still dry clean so many items but once in a while I wash those same items.
