In the Hospital, could use some prayers UPDATED Page 3
I posted abt the Dole salad listeria outbreak and how I had eaten a bag of the recalled salad the day before the announcement.
My Ob said the chances were slim but Sunday night I had terrible diarreah and vomited all night long yesterday. Called my Ob at 5am this morning and was told to go to the hospital.
They took a ton of blood cultures but I won't get the results for 48 hrs which feels insane. I am praying that it is just a regular stomach bug BC listeria can often lead to the loss of the baby - I am only 25 weeks. So far the baby looks and sounds good, but I am so scared. I pray the test comes back negative. The fact that I don't have fever is a good sign but I am on an IV antibiotic drip for the next 2 days until I hear the results.
On top of all this it is the first time I am away from DD #1 and it is breaking my heart to not be home with her and with no warning.

I know the stomach virus is going around hopefully it's that. Get better soon

There are so many stomach bugs going around right now, I really hope that's all it is but good to be cautious. Many payers. I can relate to having to leave dd1 with no notice as I delivered at 35 weeks and left after she went to bed without thinking I'd be gone for 5 days. She did just fine even though I'd never even left her for one night. Hopefully you're home safe and sound soon.

In the Hospital, could use some prayers
My husband has a nasty stomach virus and has been sick the last two days. I hate to say fingers crossed that is what you have but fingers crossed, toes and everything crossed.
I ate dole bagged salad like a month ago so I was nervous about the outbreak. But I am paranoid about everything. Please keep us posted.

Thank you so much everyone. I need these positive words so bad. I am trying to think positive. At least for now I stopped vomiting. I will update when I kno something more.

Michi, I just have to add that your post on pregnancy saved me from eating a bag of the affected salad--I had just gone to Stop and Shop the day or so before and was really looking forward to a nice salad. I saw your post and then looked it up and discovered that I had a bag with the A on it... I'm 31 weeks tomorrow and I can't tell you how grateful I am that you posted. Thank you so much.
I really, really hope that you and the baby are ok.
