Same here. I have the '06 Saab 93 and it's the best car I've had. Great on gas, hugs the road beautifully and has great pick-up too.
Mine is also a lease and I'm probably going to buy it out when the lease is up.

Re: In the market for a new car......
I have a Honda CRV and love it. It's good on gas mileage but it is also a decent size. Plus, having the SUV trunk has really come in handy. The all wheel drive is good for the winter.
I had a Honda Accord prior to this and really liked that car too. The only car I didn't really like was my Nissan Sentra. While it got excellent gas mileage, it was too small and was really bad in the snow and ice.

not to hijack my own thread but Danielle REALLY REALLY wants us to get a Hybrid - she said to us yesterday, "if everyone bought a Hybrid, we'd all be contributing to slowing down global warming" gotta love that kid!!!

Toyotas have a ton of Hybrid cars. DH works on them & they are great. The only thing to remember with Hybrid is that the electric part only kicks in during traffic and local driving, not long-term highway driving.
The Prius is cool but a little small. If you were looking at the Camry then I say go for Camry Hybrid. It is their most expensive Camry model, but you get a tax break for it & you can get one of those nifty "Clean Pass" thingies to ride in the HOV lane.
If you like an SUV the Highlander Hybrid does really well too.

Re: In the market for a new car......
You should really look into a Hybrid! I know out next car will be one! and by the time we are in the market for one, I hope they have cars that do not rely on fossil fuels at all.

ahhhhhh...NOW it makes sense!!!!!
when we were looking on the websites last night, i noticed that the stats are reversed for Hybrids (i.e. 30mpg city/25mpg highway) i was reading that and saying to myself, wouldn't the hybrids have better mpg on the highway!!!!!???? Thanks for clearing up that mystery for me!

Re: In the market for a new car......
If you aren't looking at luxury - then I highly reccommend a Toyota Corolla. I bought one new 3 1/2 years ago and I still love it. It gets fantastic gas mileage (about 32 m/g highway), it's 4 doors and the back seat is roomy, it looks great, a lot of trunk space and it was very affordable.

I know several people with this car and they LOVE it. Just a note of caution - it isn't a car if your DH is 6'2" +.

Re: In the market for a new car......
Anytime... you don't know how many peolpe come in to the shop in the beginning complaining of low gas milage issues. DH always has to explain it. He then proceeds to yell at his salespeople for never explaining it correctly......
