In which hospital will you be delivering your baby?
Hello ladies,
I am new to this board and newly pregnant.
Could you please tell me what are the better hospital to deliver a baby on Long Island? I think I need to pick a hospital first before choosing an OBGYN affiliated with that hospital.
OBGYN recommendations in Nassau / South Shore would be very helpful as well.

I will be having my baby at Good Sam in west islip and my OB is in east islip.

Im delivering at NY Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical center.
Winthrop is a great hospital on LI, and LIJ

Try LI women's health associates in south bellmore...dr. gates and dr. kutcham are great...and there are 5 or 6 docs total and have awesome hours!

Try LI women's health associates in south bellmore...dr. gates and dr. kutcham are great...and there are 5 or 6 docs total and have awesome hours!
i was just going to write this!!
i chose south nassau hospital first (in oceanside) because of their great reputation and brand new maternity ward.
then i chose LI Women's Health Care Associates and i am SO glad i did!
plus the sono techs from Madonna have hours there so you don't need to go to a different office for your sonograms. very convenient!!
Dr. Glasser did my c-section and she did an AWESOME job

isn't it such a great practice? I switched over from my original doc and I couldn't be happier!!!

I delivered at South Nassau with my first and had a good experience. I plan to deliver there again with this one!

delivering at either Mercy, South Nassau or Winthrop...My OB is in Rockville Centre

If you had a choice I would pick south nassau or winthrop, Mercy does not have a pediatric unit

St Lawrence in Bronxville (yay for brand new maternity wing with private rooms and bathrooms!)
 
That's if all goes well, if they decide I'm high-risk, it might be Einstein (Montefiore)
