infant & Toddler sharing a room- pros and cons
I am pregnant with my second daughter and have a spare room to put the baby in but I am seriously considering having them share a room since they will be only 20 months apart.
Can you please give me some pros and cons to doing this? I feel good knowing that they will have each other and need to decide soon on furniture and paint.
TIA!

I don't have a choice, DS #1 will be sharing with DS #2. They will be 3 years apart. I hope it works out...its got to...LOL

here was my con:
My girls are 14 months apart. My oldest started throwing toys into the babies crib and climbing in with the baby. I bought the tent to keep the baby safe. My oldest(22 months in the picture above) still climbed on top.

Re: infant & Toddler sharing a room- pros and cons
DD & DS are 33 months apart and have shared a room from pretty much day one.
The only real con is that DS can wake up DD, but most mornings she sleeps right through him getting up. At night, he still goes to bed 30minutes before she does, so no issues there either.
DS still takes a pretty significant nap (3-4 hours) most days, so if DD needs to lay down a little, we just let her doze in our bed. She doesn't nap at this point anymore, but with the crazy holidays, she did doze a few days.

If you have the option, I would keep them separate until the baby is sleeping through the night.

Re: infant & Toddler sharing a room- pros and cons
I seriously LOVE the picture of those 2 girls on top of each other!
I have 2 that will be 17 months apart & think that it'll be easier to have them both together. DS LOVES sleeping with someone else in the room & I have a few friends who raved about having both kids in the same room.
I'll let you know how it goes in just a few weeks...
But I will keep them separate until DD sleeps through the night.

I think I am going to trust my gut and try putting my two together in the same room (after the new baby is with me for a few months of course). What's the wost that could happen? I have to seperate them. It's worth a try in my eyes. Thanks for all your help!
