Infant car seat shaking a lot??
I never noticed this with DD1 in our car...In our Sienna, DD2's infant seat (and her head )is vibrating and bouncing a lot. I think the Sienna is a bumpier ride.
Do you notice your infant seat vibrating? Is your seat cushy? What kind is it? I have the BSafe seat and it's a hard seat with a very thin pad.

You need to tighten the base. When DH installed the base to our B safe car seat in my car it vibrated initially until he was able to tighten it properly- this was prior to using the seat. You may want to have a professional look at it to ensure it is properly installed.

It is super tight- I really can't move the base at all. The shaking is coming from the minivan. If you sit in the middle row, you can feel every little road bump and I can see DD getting bumped around.

I think I'm going to send DH to look for a different seat that has a little more cushion.

You only need to check for movement at the belt path no where else. There should be less then 1" of movement.
What seat is it and in what car? Also what position in the car??

We have the BSafe behind the passenger in a 2014 Sienna. It's the road bumps & vibrations that are bothering me. I am bouncing too. I thought the car seat would dampen the road bumps, but if anything it's amplifying them.

If the car seat is securely installed and she is strapped in properly (straps coming from below shoulders, snug so there's no slack to pinch at the collerbone and chest clip up at nipple level) there's no worries about normal everyday road bumps.
If you're concerned about her head you can place a tightly rolled receiving blanket on either side of her parallel to her head and body to keep it from slumping to the side. But again, there's no major safety concern really.

Ok, thanks. I just feel like she is so tiny and delicate. I don't like to see her head bouncing around. I wish my minivan had a smoother ride.

No mom does unless you're doing some fierce offroading with your minivan, then I'd be worried

If you google the bsafe making noise you will see rattling is a common complaint. We returned ours and got the keyfit 30.

Thanks! Is it cushy? The description says "thickly padded seat", so it sounds like it has good cushioning. DH went shopping for a seat today with more padding, and he picked out the chaperone, but it's not available anywhere (discontinued), lol.

Its not super cushy, but its one of the most popular car seats out, so i would imagine most are happy with it! I used one for my DD and she was fine with it. The b safe did have more cushion, but that rattle was awful!!
