Infant Seat
Yesterday I put the base in my car so I am ready when she arrives. I know the fire departments will look at it, but I wasn't sure if you needed to call first. Did anyone else do this?
Also, the handle on my infant carrier is very hard to move (Peg Preggo Viaggio). Did anyone else have this probelm? Does it just need to be worked in?
TIA!

Re: Infant Seat
I never heard of the fire department looking at it. Just curious, do you have to call the fire department?

Re: Infant Seat
american baby magazine lists a website that you put your zip in and have the car seat inspected to make sure its installed right and also tell you if your car seat has a recall
the website is seatcheck.org

Re: Infant Seat
I went to Hassell Auto Body in Wet Babylon and it was great. He went over the whole car seat with me and showed me everything. I would recommend!

This is where we went. It was very informative, they showed us how to install the seat properly both with LATCH and seatbelt so that if we were using a different car that wasn't LATCH we could still install it correctly. I keep meaning to make an appt for them to look at the convertible seat now that we've switched.
