Infant CPR classes in nassau? Who's in?! Info added!
After reading cinnabon's post about her son (i hope everything's ok!!), it made me think that I need some training. Does anyone know of places near Merrick that does infant CPR classes? TIA
ETA: I'm so glad so many people want to do this. I emailed New Baby Belly to find out the max. If anything, we can do multiple classes so everyone can do it! DH's are more than welcome (and like Bethany...any caregivers). The more education the better. Right now I have interested:

according to the website its $60pp for private classes, but I'll see what she says.
ETA I heard from Winthrop. Here are the details:
For the Infant CPR class, which it used for infants up to 1 years old.
$70 per couple for a 1 hour class from 6-7pm. Classes are offered:
October 7th - 6 couples
October 25th - 5 couples
November 4th - 5 couples
They also have a friends and family CPR class for Infants, Children and Adults. This one is $90 per couple and 3 hours:
October 2nd, 1-4pm - 5 couples
November 2nd, 6-10pm - 5 couples
November 6th - 1-4pm - 5 couples.
They don't offer private classes tho. So these are the only options. You'd have to call MaryAnn at (516) 663-4455.

FYI, I think it might be cheaper if you can do it through Wintrop hospital. We paid $70 per couple there for infant CPR. They also give you an instructional doll and DVD to take home so you can practice and/or teach infant CPR to anyone else who might be taking care of your child.

Diana--Evan and I took ours through the Red Cross at our pediatricians office and we paid $75 (per couple). I have the woman's contact info in the car, I'll send it to you tomorrow.

Most hospitals offer a class. I know South Nassau and mercy do. I have been CPR certified since I was about 14 years old. I haven't taken a refresher class in a while, but I do read up on all of the changes. Once you learn it, it is hard to forget...
