infant nightmares?
can an infant have a nightmare? Last night Bella started wailing in her sleep- for a few seconds at a time every hour. We checked her and she was not hungry, wet or hot/cold. Could it have been a nightmare? She stopped when we cuddled with her in bed. She is only 5 months old.

u know, I swear sometimes my 3 mo old daughter, Jada, has bad dreams sometimes. Out of no where she'll start crying ... like a cry ive never heard b4, like someones hurting her. but after we talk to her and touch her alittle bit, shes ok. but i dont know what it is exactly.

Re: infant nightmares?
We used to joke about what they would cry about while they were sleeping. At a few weeks old, DH thought it was the "Here I am in a nice pool of water, loving life." "Oh no! I'm feeling all of these squeezing" "Ah, bright light! Bright light!"

Re: infant nightmares?
I think they do.. It has happened to Shannon a couple of times.. LAst night she was just swinging her head back and forth hard and kicking her feet but she was sleeping.. she opened her eyes and I gave her her pacifier and she was fine.. Scary though..
