Infant tylenol dosage for an 11lb/7 week old?
Does anyone know the dosage for infant Tylenol for an 11 lb newborn? Used to know it for DD but now need to know for DS and they don't put it on the bottles and make you call the ped.
Thanks.

When Colin had his 6 wk shots I was told the dose was .8 (a dropper full). He was 12lb8oz.

The dosage my ped gave me for DS when he was exactly 11 lbs was .6
She gave me the dosage in case he got a fever from his vaccines - she had just weighed him.

I was told 0.6 for my 16 week old. But since I had to guesstimate because the dropper is .4 or .8, I'm sure she got more, so if you give .8, I'm sure your DC will be ok.

Re: Infant tylenol dosage for an 11lb/7 week old?
Official dosing is 15mg/kg bodyweight or 6.8mg/pound. So an 11 pound kid gets about 1 dropper (0.8mL=80mg). Your best best is to round to the nearest dropper. If you're off by a few mgs you won't hurt the kid.
