Infertiliey Max w/ insurance
If your insurance covers infertiliey and you have a max... how much is it and how fast did you blow through your max?
It sounds like just dr visits are applied towards my $10K... I feel like i am going to blow through that really fast if everything little think is applied to it?

Re: Infertiliey Max w/ insurance
idk if we still have the same insurance since the split, but only IUIs and IVF procedures are taken out of the 10k, not Drs visits

I actually just FM'd you also cause I think we still do have it! What about sono's and stuff? Do you see where they track the $10K on your account online?

Thats the one thing they dont do... You can very easily call and find out how much is left though.
The sonos are seperate not billed under the 10k. ONly the actual procedures of insemination for IUI & sperm washing. And for IVF im not totally sure but i know the monitoring b/w and sonos are not taken out of the 10k.

Re: Infertiliey Max w/ insurance
i have a 10k max too, however i have unlimited IUI's that do not take out of the 10k. the only thing that has been subtracted from our 10k so far is the injectible meds we used with our IUI cycles. sonos, drs visits and things of that nature are billed differently. you can call your insurance company and ask specifics. good luck!

Re: Infertiliey Max w/ insurance
Mine maxes out, but its not a dollar amount. Its unlimited IUI's and 3 IVF lifetime.
Sorry, I don't know how quickly it goes. Maybe talk to your insurance company, and get a nurse case manager. They are very helpful.

Re: Infertiliey Max w/ insurance
I have a $10k limit. The only way I could keep track of what was being dipped into is if I called. I didnt need to since I got super lucky on my first round of clomid and iui.
When I get a chance I will call and find out exactly what they charged and see if it meds had a seperate max

I have been looking at that... in the left column it say "phyciscians visits" and some other things, thats what was getting more worried about it going really fast. I didn't think regular RE visits would get applied to that.

Re: Infertiliey Max w/ insurance
Is this what you mean?
Physician’s Office Services
Primary Care Visit - $20 copayment per visit then 100% of eligible expenses
Specialist Visit - $35 copayment per visit then 100% of eligible expenses
Outpatient Services received at a Hospital or Alternate Facility
90% of eligible expenses after satisfying $300 deductible.
Any combination of Network Benefits and Non-Network Benefits for infertility services are limited to $10,000 per Covered Person during the entire period you are covered under the Plan.

This part... in the very first column under "infertility" ... don't know why it put all the ?'s in there!
Infertility
Charges for the following apply toward the infertility lifetime maximum:
? Hospital outpatient
facility;
? surgeon’s and assistant
surgeon’s fees;
? anesthesia;
? lab and x-ray;
? diagnostic services;
? Physician’s office
visits;
? consultations; and
? injections.
