Insurance ? out of pocket max
In regards to out of pocket maximum, once i reach the out of pocket max i will not have to pay anything else expect for any co-pays or prescriptions? any clarification would be appreciated, i keep forgetting to call my benefits when they are open.
here is the defination from my benefits:
Definition of: Out of Pocket Maximum
The limit on the amount you pay for covered health services during the plan year. Plans generally pay all covered costs for the rest of the year after you reach this limit. In some cases, the amounts you pay toward deductibles and coinsurance count toward your out-of-pocket maximum. Most plans do not count copays or your prescription medication costs toward your out-of-pocket maximum. This limit includes only amounts paid for covered services. Claims for services not covered, such as cosmetic, do not count toward the out-of-pocket maximum. Amounts in excess of the out of network reimbursement amount may not apply to the out-of-pocket maximum and may be your responsibility.
