Infertility counselors or support groups?
A friend of mine is having a really hard time. She has gone through 2 miscarriages and 1 IVF cycle due to a genetic factor. She was interested in going for counseling or attending a support group, but wants one highly recommended. Any recommendations???
TIA

Re: Infertility counselors or support groups?
I think there is a group that is associated with NSUH Dept of Human reproduction. Try giving them a call 516-562-2229 maybe they can recommend

I HIGHLY recommend Gail Michele at 631-361-7065 (she's in Hauppauge). She was wonderful for myslef and others! GL to your friend!

Re: Infertility counselors or support groups?
She should ask her RE for recommendations.
Mine has 2 psychiatrists that specialize in reproductive issues and a free weekly support group (though the timing of the support group is during normal working hours... I never quite understood that).
I can't personally recommend anyone for support except for my husband... I don't think he wants to go through all that again.
