Information
Hi... I am getting married in 3 months and some of the girls on liweddings said this was a great place to ask this.
I cannot have a baby and would like to adopt. Where do I start? Any information would be greately appreciated.

I would do some research (online or in books) on whether you want to adopt domestically or internationally. Next, if you decide to adopt internationally, I would research which country matches your requrements best. Then, look to see which agencies in your area have programs for the country of interest. Then, go onto forums (Holt is great for international) to ask for advice and read people's experiences. If you decide to adopt from Korea, send me an FM. I have tons of info for you!  Good Luck!

Susan is exactly right. And if you decide to go domestic, you would make an appt with an attorney.

My agency is www.whfc.org
Wide Horizons For Children
They do both domestic and international adoption. You can visit their site to get an overview of many programs. Some programs require that you are married for a certain number of years so you will want to look into that as well.
